Since 1989, Parkway Designs has been creating timeless designs and custom cabinetry in a relaxed and friendly setting. We are a full service cabinetry company committed to service and craftsmanship with a significant number of our projects originating from recommendations and former clients who are renovating or building new homes.

As homes have evolved into sophisticated havens, Parkway Designs understands the challenges presented to today’s cabinetry designers. The character of a home often mandates a classic look, yet our homeowners are requesting the latest technologies, challenging our talented designers to unify style with convienience.

Underlining Parkway Designs’ casual working atmosphere is a passion for fulfilling the challenges our clients present to us through thoughtful and thorough design solutions. These solutions are achieved through our design team comprised of Sonia Devic - Runyon and Betty Appleby who have over 40 years of combined experience in the cabinetry industry. We work together with colleagues that have solid business relationships with our company and who are at the top of their profession.

Our clients benefit from these collaborations as this ensures that all details and logistics of their particular project are worked out before receiving a proposal for review – this is what sets Parkway Designs apart.  

The design team at Parkway Designs are all members of the leading cabinetry industry affiliation, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA). This pioneering association promotes professionalism and ethical business practice among members, oversees standards, and fosters excellence in design, manufacture and installation.

To ensure that we are providing our clients with the latest developments in design and products, our designers attend programs, symposiums and trade shows sponsored by the NKBA.

The Parkway Designs Team

Sonia Devic-Runyon, founder of Parkway Designs, received her bachelor’s degree in art from the University of South Florida , Tampa and her Master of Science degree in interior design from Florida State University . She established Parkway Designs shortly thereafter in 1989.

Surrounded by the local construction community since the age of 9, Sonia brings her knowledge of art & design to her understanding of the intricacies of the construction process. This unique blend allows her to take a client’s conceptual dream from the drafting table to the reality of a beautiful and functional room in a seamless and timely manner.

She has award winning cabinetry designs at several distinguished communities throughout Southwest Florida including Fiddlesticks, Gulf Harbour, Miromar Lakes, West Bay Club, The Brooks, Mediterra and Port Royal.

Betty Appleby, Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer, received her bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Northern Iowa , with a minor in art and is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Betty has enjoyed over 20 years creating kitchens, baths and distinctive cabinetry for every room in the home.

Parkway Designs has been privileged to have this talented designer as an integral part of the team since we began the company in 1989.

Betty’s creative capability and extensive construction knowledge enable her to work easily with homeowners, architects, interior designers and contractors. Her attention to detail makes the difference in both the practical function of each room and the overall beauty of the final project.
